NaNoWriMo Day 19

WORD COUNT: 38,900-some (didn’t get an exact one for the day D: )

• I was on a roll at midnight so I figured I’d keep going and then estimate whenever I came to a stop. 
• Weirdest, slowest writing day ever. I had more time to write today than possibly any day all month. I just couldn’t get myself to do it. I don’t know. I hope I can shed that tomorrow. 

• Can anyone help me improve this sentence? Here it is:
  “There was nothing like re-hashing a suicide to get you to make yourself stay alive.”
• Any suggestions at all would be cool.
• I need it to be past tense, but I want the parallelism in the verbs, and I like what it SAYS but it sounds too cold and wordy. Agh. I REQUEST ASSISTANCE. Eh?

senior year bucket list:

• Cut hair for Locks of Love. (Unless it gets to May and it’s still not long enough. Then perhaps not.)
• Read Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
• Sing in public for real.
• Go to a concert. At least one. Probably more.
• Road trip to Peoria for da Rivs. Even if the lockout does end.
• Get cartilage pierced.

I may revise this later. Meh.

Life decision math, etc

~POSTING THIS BECAUSE EXCITING MATH ! ~

Basically I have two choices for next semester -

• Take 18 college credit hours, aka maxing out for dual enrollment, babysitting when I am able to, but focusing on school, or
• Get a part time job and try to work as much as possible while taking 9 credit hours or so.

The ulterior motives

• Have time with which to have fun in college, or
• Have money with which to have fun in college.

But hmm.

• Hypothetically, if I get a part time job and work for $9 an hour, 20 hours a week, for 20 weeks (5 months- Jan-May, tentatively), I’d save up about $3600.
• If I take 18 credit hours, I’m saving my family $6480. 
  (because dual enrollment is much cheaper, so this math is UE’s price for 18 credit hours minus average dual enrollment cost for 18 credit hours). Not to mention scholarships I’m locking down with good grades, and the time I’ll save in the long run with less core classes to take, plus possibly one semester less of room and board than I would’ve taken.

Maybe math just decided for me? 

I never want to forget what Autumn feels like. Ah
